Beware of SEO’s who send you spam emails indicating that they can make you #1 in Google or indicate that they have a special relationship with Google. Google does not have any relationships with any SEO.   Website owners usually get spam mails such as –  ‘I can get your Company on the first page of Google Guaranteed! ….’

Some spammers even go as far as to send you a bogus SEO report.  Other spammers tell you how your meta tags are missing or you are not using the right key words…

If your business is not doing too well, you can fall an easy prey to these spammers, hoping they can get you high rankings.

Choosing the wrong SEO can break your business.  Some SEO’s use black hat methods that can get your site penalized by Google. Google will penalize your site if you are using Cloaking or selling or buying backlinks.

It is important to check if Google still lists your website. Search Google for “yourdomain.com” and “site:yourdomain.com”. If you don’t get any results, then it’s likely that your website has been penalized.

Therefore, it is very important you choose the right SEO.  Do not respond to spam emails.  If you choose the wrong SEO, your website could get banned from Google search.
