Twitter came into existence in 2007.  Twitter is used for Microblogging.  At first, it was mostly used by blogging communities but now businesses are using it to create their brands and acquire new customers. You have probably heard of Twitter and seen the famous Twitter icon that is a blue bird.

You may already know how to create a Twitter Account.  However, if you do not, these steps will be help you create one.

STEP 1:

Go to https://www.twitter.com/

Enter the information.  Your name cannot be longer than 20 characters. (This may change in future)

STEP 3:

Enter your phone number or select skip

Enter your Username

This could be your business name.  You might have to abbreviate your username.  Your username cannot be longer than 15 characters. (This may change in future)

Select Next

STEP 6:

You will be taken to step 2. Add your interests

Your will get suggestions.  You can deselect all of them if you want and select continue.

STEP 8:

Follow the wizard, add your photo or skip the step for now. You will be able to add your photo later.  You can connect with Facebook here or you can do it later.

Twitter for Business

STEP 9:

Select Continue.  You can either find people at the next steps or you can skip the step. You will be able to find people later on.

Twitter Friends

Your account will be created at the next step. Make sure to confirm your email. Go to your email and open the email sent by twitter. Click on the Confirm Now link and your account is created.
